Best S’mores Ideas for Every Season

Summer may be starting to slow down, but that doesn’t mean the fun is over yet. There are still plenty of backyard gatherings with friends and family to enjoy, and what makes those get-togethers even better? Sitting by the fire pit and biting into the ultimate treat: s’mores.

The combination of graham crackers, roasted marshmallows, and chocolate is a tried-and-true classic, but there are plenty of creative ways to elevate your backyard s’mores experience. Set up a full s’mores bar with multiple toppings like peanut butter, caramel, sprinkles, or fruit, letting guests build their perfect combo.

And with your WindChill 47 portable ac cooler close by, your s’mores station stays perfectly stocked — no melted chocolate or sticky marshmallows — while your guests enjoy a cool, refreshing breeze as they roast and create their favorite treats.

The WindChill’s insulated cooler design not only protects your s’mores ingredients, but also provides reliable ice retention for drinks, snacks, or extra supplies throughout your backyard gatherings.

Whether you’re setting up a tabletop platter for two, pairing s’mores with a pizza night, or putting together a full s’mores bar for a backyard celebration, the possibilities are endless.

How to Make the Best S’mores

Swap the cracker: Graham crackers are subtly sweet and pair well with any chocolate. However, that’s not the only thing you can use to hold s’mores together. Swap the crackers for chocolate chip, peanut butter, or oatmeal cookies. Consider Oreos or use Ritz Crackers for a sweet and salty combo. Thinly slice other treats such as banana bread, lemon loaf, brownies, or Rice Krispie Treats.

Try different chocolate: Move over simple milk chocolate. There are so many other options to try! Using Reese’s or other peanut butter cups will instantly elevate your s’mores. Consider trying a cookies ‘n creme bar or different flavors of filled Ghirardelli chocolate squares like sea salt caramel or raspberry. Dark chocolate bars with mint, orange, or nuts make for excellent flavor combinations as well.

Add other toppings: Chocolate doesn’t have to be the only flavor profile, and so many other ingredients pair well with it. Try adding fruit such as sliced banana, sliced apple, mashed strawberries or raspberries. Use a spread like creamy peanut butter, Nutella, caramel sauce, or your favorite fruit jam. Include other toppings like a slice of bacon, shredded coconut, or rainbow sprinkles for a pop of color.

S’mores Recipes to Try:
